ESU Signature Series Brick Program

Make your mark!

You're invited to make your mark on ESU history -- literally.

Now you can ensure that your legacy as an ESU alumnus, alumna, or friend is remembered forever! The ESU Sauder Alumni Center, the home of all ESU alumni and friends, invites you to buy a personalized brick. Nestled among the bricks of fellow E-Staters, your brick will pave the way for generations of Hornets to come!

Who may buy a brick?

Anyone who loves ESU may buy a brick. ESU alumni, faculty, friends, and donors have all purchased bricks. Organizations like sororities and fraternities are also invited to show their Hornet pride by purchasing a brick as a means of honoring past, present, and future members.

Bricks also make terrific gifts for Christmas or to celebrate milestones such as graduation, birthdays, anniversaries, retirement, or any other occasion on which you would like to commemorate or honor a special person or organization.

Facts about the Brick Program

  • You may choose from three different brick sizes:
    • Standard Brick (4" x 8"), enough room for 2 lines of text, 12 characters per line
    • Hornet Signature Brick (8" x 8"), 5 lines of text, 12 characters per line
    • Black and Gold Edition Brick (12" x 12"), 7 lines of text, 18 characters per line
  • You may have almost anything you wish inscribed on your brick. The bigger the brick, the more you can have inscribed. (Keep in mind that spaces count as characters.) The "typical" inscription includes: name, degree, and year graduated. Greek letters are also available.
  • Your brick will be installed in the scenic Didde patio of the Sauder Alumni Center.
  • Money from the sale of bricks is deposited in an endowed fund. The earnings are used to finance the operation and maintenance of the Sauder Alumni Center.

How do I order a brick?

  1. Print out the Brick Order Form.
  2. Send your completed form, along with your check or credit card information, to: Sauder Alumni Center, 1500 Highland Street, Emporia, KS, 66801-5018.
