A letter from the president
For nearly 150 years, Emporia State University has been charting a path toward excellence. As we approach our sesquicentennial in 2013, we are launching a new opportunity. The Black and Gold Society at Emporia State University is a partnership of men and women who share a strong commitment to higher education. As a member of the Society, you make a difference in the lives of students, families and communities by providing strategic funding for the university’s emerging initiatives. Your annual investment in ESU through the Black and Gold Society will support important programs, innovative research and groundbreaking initiatives. The ESU president directs these funds toward areas that strengthen ESU and its impact on the community. Having the freedom to respond to emerging opportunities and address critical needs is one of the benchmarks of a great university. Working together, we will achieve for ESU a new and unparalleled standard in higher education. We invite you to join the Black and Gold Society, and welcome you as one of ESU’s most distinguished advocates. Dr. Michael R. Lane |
