Resident Assistant

A Resident Assistant or RA is a full-time student who is your personal link to your community and the day-to-day activities available to you. RAs are carefully selected to promote the university’s primary mission: to aid you in your total development. These undergraduate student leaders are also professionally trained.

Your RA has a variety of diverse responsibilities. RAs, as members of the residence hall community, assist residents in developing and maintaining an active, cooperative, and academic atmosphere on the floor and throughout the hall. Resident Assistants also serve as campus resource links between students and other university services.

Most importantly, your RA will be willing and available to help and assist you when a need arises. As residents, you are encouraged to acquaint yourself with your RA and to contact this valuable resource person when he/she can be of help to you.
