This is my first year as the Housing Placement and Information Coordinator for Emporia State, but I feel like I have been part of the Emporia community for a much longer time.
I feel as if I have been working towards this since my junior year of college when my Director let me help with placing students who were moving around on our small campus. In graduate school I helped with Greek life and administration, but I kept coming back to Student Housing. I believe that by providing places students feel secure and have a positive experience, outside of the classroom, we help provide a supportive growing and learning environment for you.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts at Wilson College, in Chambersburg, PA where I double majored in Equine/Equestrian Studies and Equine Facilitated Therapeutics. I received my Master of Arts from University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Higher Education Administration: Student Affairs.
You will most likely meet me at one of the Black and Gold Days or your Hornet Connection and I will be working on where you will be living while attending Emporia State. I help supervise our student’s in the main office. I try to always have some chocolate available in my office so please stop in and say hello! My email is firstname.lastname@example.org or 620-341-5114.
