Paul Jacobson-Miller - Assistant Director of Residential Life
This is my second year as the Assistant Director for Residential Life here at Emporia State but I feel like I have been a Hornet all of my life. Emporia is such a great place to live and work with so many fantastic and welcoming people.
Since my first-year of college I have been involved in nearly every aspect of college life from Student Activities and Greek Life to Admissions and Residential Life including everything in between. There are so many opportunities to get involved and living on campus puts you in the heart of everything. You will grow in ways you never thought possible, make life-long friends (I met my wife my second year of college), and have the experience of a lifetime!
I love reading, photography, scuba diving and watching movies. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Beloit College in Beloit, WI and my Master of Science in Counseling and Student Development from Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS.
I am responsible for all staff trainings and selection, working with our Education Residential Learning Community and I head up some of our programs through How2ESU (Hornet Orientation, Six Weeks Series and our Residential Learning Communities). I also supervise our two amazing Complex Coordinators, as well as the overall re-contracting plan for the department. If you have any questions, please don’t be a stranger! I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org, @Pmilleredu or 620-341-5769.
It’s a great day to be a Hornet! Go Emporia!
