
Resident Assistants
Your Resident Assistant (RA) is a student just like you. Each RA lives on a floor and is responsible for building community and planning events for that floor. RAs also serve in a duty rotation to ensure your safety and security in the buildings. They are supervised by a full-time Complex Coordinator.
Reception Center Assistants
These students live off-campus and work at the Reception Centers in either Morse or Towers Complex. They can assist you when you are locked out of your room, lost your key, need to put in a work order for your room, have questions about campus, or need to meet with your Complex Coordinator. They are supervised by a full-time Complex Coordinator.
Program Assistants
Your Program Assistant is a student who co-advises either the Morse or Towers Activities Council, tracks and advises Resident Assistant programs, and attends many events in the residence halls. These students have been Resident Assistants for at least one full year before becoming a Program Assistant. They are supervised by a full-time Complex Coordinator.
Office Assistants
Office Assistants are students who have previously spent at least one full year as a Reception Center Assistant. They maintain the Reception Center work schedule, provide on-going training and complete other tasks assigned to them by the Complex Coordinator who supervises them. There is one Office Assistant for Morse Complex, one for Towers Complex, and one at the ESU Apartments.
Student Office Assistants
These students work in the main Residential Life Office and assist with answering telephones, responding to questions, organizing student housing records, processes paperwork, and other duties as assigned. They are supervised by the Senior Administrative Specialist.
Complex Coordinators
Your Complex Coordinator is a full-time professional who lives on-campus and manages the day-to-day routines of one or more of the residence halls. He/she supervises, trains, and evaluates the Reception Center Assistants, Resident Assistants, Office Assistants, and Program Assistants. He/she also co-advises an Activities Council and communicates with custodians and maintenance staff about issues in the buildings.

Sr. Administrative Assistant- Leticia Rust
Leticia coordinates payroll, completes new-hire paperwork and hiring processes for new employees and processes departmental billings. She is also the Webmaster for Residential life. She is supervised by the Director of Residential Life. Leticia's email is lrust1@emporia.edu
Assistant Director of Facilities - Bill Saueressig
Bill supervises all custodial and maintenance staff for Residential Life. He plans for short-and-long-term maintenance projects and ensures that the buildings are kept in good working condition. He is supervised by the Director of Residential Life. Bill's email is bsaueres@emporia.edu
Senior Administrative Specialist - Amanda Meek
Amanda's main responsibilities are the processing and coordination of housing and apartment contracts. She processes room assignments and manages the on line housing software. She also supervises the Student Office Assistants, completes departmental charges, and manages the main Residential Life Office. She is supervised by the Director of Residential Life. Assistant Director - Paul Jacobson-Miller
Paul plans and implements staff trainings and large scale Residential Life programs. He also supervises the Complex Coordinators, as well as the overall re-contracting plan for the department. He is supervised by the Director of Residential Life. He will start in June of 2012.
Interim Director of Residential Life - Jackie Scott
Jackie coordinates the budgets for the department, assists with campus-wide committees, and communicates with other departments. She is responsible for leading the department until the new director, Wade Redeker will assume the roll of Director of Residential Life in July of 2012. Jackie's email is jscott1@emporia.edu
