Learn, explore, connect...
Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.”
-William Butler Yeats
Living on campus increases student satisfaction and success in so many ways because of the close community, connection to resources and opportunities for growth. Our Residential Learning Communities (or RLCs for short) take these to the next level by providing an enriching experience focused specific interests. By living in one of our RLCs you will live with students with similar passions while having a specialized experience. All of this and you don’t miss out on everything college has to offer.
Our current Residential Learning Communities are:
- Education Community: We are partnering with The Teachers College to bring an exciting residential experience for those exploring education as a career. Your experience on one of our Education floors will enhance classroom learning and connect you to other Education majors. This community is available in both the Towers and Morse Complex.
- Scholar Community: An academically-focused floor with a connection to the Honors program. You do not need to be a member of the Honors program; only the desire to be successful academically is required! Live in the Scholar Community for an enriching experience focused on service and academic engagement.
Next year we will be kicking off our Global Community in the Towers Complex where domestic and international students can be paired up as roommates. Cultures from around the world will come together in this on-campus community where residents will be able to create the ultimate cultural experience.
If you are interested in being a part of our Residential Learning Communities you can mark that on your Housing Contract or contact the Office of Residential Life 620.341.5264 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
