Graduation Information

Q. When is undergraduate graduation held?

Undergraduate graduation is held twice a year on the Saturday of finals week. Spring graduation is held in Welch Stadium (weather permitting). Fall graduation is held in White Auditorium (the Emporia civic building). Students graduating in August have the choice of attending either ceremony. Information about graduation is mailed to your local address about six weeks prior to the actual graduation ceremony.

Q. How much is the graduation fee?

The graduation fee is $15 ($20 for dual degree) and is payable at least one month prior to graduation. This fee is to defray expenses incidental to graduation and is good for a period of eleven months.

Q.  When will I receive information about graduation?

Information will be mailed to you six weeks prior to the graduation ceremony.

Q. How soon after graduation will my degree be posted to my transcript?

If all requirements have been satisfactorily met your degree should be posted within four weeks of graduation. Your diploma will be mailed at the time your degree is posted providing you have no university holds. To order transcripts contact Academic Records at 620-341-5419.
