December 13, Thursday

Deadline for the January 12, ETS Praxis Testing PPST/PLT Exams. Registration form and fee payment must be sent directly to the Educational Testing Service and must be received by this date.  Enroll on-line at www.ets.org/praxis. 

December 14, Friday

Billing Statement will be mailed to students who are pre-enrolled by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2007. Students enrolling after 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, will NOT be sent a bill. Students can look up tuition and fees owed on Buzz In and pay on-line or contact Cashiering Services to make arrangements for payment of tuition and fees.

Residence Halls open 12:00 noon. 

 

ATTENTION STUDENTS: January 14, Monday DEADLINE --  TO RESERVE YOUR SEAT IN CLASSES AND TO AVOID LOSING YOUR SCHEDULED CLASSES, ALL CLASSES MUST BE PAID OR ARRANGEMENTS FOR PAYMENT MADE BY 4:00 p.m. ON MONDAY, JANUARY 14.  Fee deferments and installment contracts must be arranged by turning in a completed Fee Deferment Form or Installment Contract Form with payment or in person.  Forms are available on-line at www.emporia.edu/busaff/payment_options.htm

NEW STUDENTS: January 15, Tuesday         SWARM (an enrollment program for new students) begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Memorial Union. Further information is available in the Office of Admissions or in the Student Advising Center.

Classes begin, day & evening. Drop & add classes in Plumb Hall offices. (SAC advisees go to 206 Plumb Hall.)

$25 LATE FEE is assessed for all students who owe a balance.  A LATE FEE of $25 is assessed each month a balance is owed.

January 19, Saturday

First meeting of Saturday classes. 

January 21, Monday

Martin Luther King Day.  Holiday - offices closed and no classes.

January 30, Wednesday

Seniors notify the Degree Analysis Office, 108H Plumb Hall, if they intend to graduate in May, 2008.

January 30, Wednesday

Tenth day of classes and 15th Calendar day.

Last day to enroll in classes.

Last day of official drop period--no transcript entry for classes

dropped on or before this date.

Last day to withdraw from the university with full refund, less any

processing fee.   (1st through 15th calendar day of the semester).

NO REFUND AFTER THIS DATE. 

February 1, Friday

Deadline for registration and fee payment for the February 23 and March 1CAAP competency exams.

February 12, Tuesday

Juniors must submit major contract and request degree check in Degree

Analysis Office, 108H Plumb Hall.

February 13, Wednesday

Twentieth day of classes.

February 22, Friday, No classes.

          CAAP Competency Assessment Examination, 7:30 a.m., Visser Hall.

February 25, Monday

Graduate students notify Graduate Office, 313 Plumb Hall, of their intent

to graduate in Summer 2008.

March 1, Saturday

CAAP Competency Assessment Examination, 7:30 a.m., Visser Hall.

March 7, Friday

End of first block and end of the 8th week. 

          Instructors must evaluate students by the end of the 8th week.

March 10, Monday

Second block begins.

March 11, Tuesday

          Midterm grades are due. 

March 14, Friday

Midterm grades are available for viewing on Buzz In.

March 16-23, Sunday through Sunday, Spring Break. 

March 27, Thursday
