Hey! I’m Steve  Huntsinger , a Health Promotion Major.  I’ve been a Personal Trainer  here at the Rec since the Spring 2011 semester.  I also teach a Group Fitness class that started after spring break.

 Experience

 Sessions

I know how busy us college students can be so I’ll make your workouts as efficient as possible.  Your workout will be tailored towards your goals.  I emphasize form and take working out serious, but will also make your workouts enjoyable.  I’ll do my best to make you feel comfortable so you can get the most out of your sessions.

Monday/Wednesday/Friday = 7am-noon and 3-10pm. Tuesday/Thursday= 3:30-10pm.

Hello, I am Taylor Trupp. This is my second school year as a personal trainer here and my senior year at ESU as a Health Promotions Major . I love  the job because I have a passion for health, exercise, nutrition and helping people reach their goals when it comes to health, while having a fun with exercise.

Experience

  • I am willing to work with both male or female

  • Any age group

  • Any fitness level—but must be willing to put in some work...you will sweat

  • Taken classes focused on exercise and nutrition

  • Very knowledgeable on resistance training and cardio

Sessions

During our sessions we will set goals that will specifically help you as an individual. I then will create workouts that will be tuff but full of variety and we will have fun with it. I like to push people to achieve their goals so sweating will occur with every session.

I am knowledgeable on cardio, resistance training, stretching, foam rollers, TRX bands, BOSU balls and free weights. I know the importance of resistance training for both men and women so prepare to do some strength exercises.

My goal is to help you reach your goals and have you leave with a good knowledge on varieties of exercises.

Times:

M/W= 9am-8pm

Tues= 6:30am-4pm

Thurs=6:30pm-close

Fri=9am-5pm

About Me

Hey! I’m  Annie Adams, a Health Promotion Major!  This is my second year as a personal trainer/fitness instructor at ESU! I’m a Senior, and I love working out and learning new things. I am a very positive person, and I love helping others outside of their comfort zone in a safe environment to reach their goals. 

Experience

  • I work with males and females.

  • I  enjoy working with all fitness levels, beginners to veterans.

  • I help clients to feel good about what they’re doing– It’s great to have an active lifestyle!

  • I love to be active outdoors, and plan to participate in Emporia’s active community events.

  • I am a great resource for nutritional information and will do everything I can to help you reach your nutritional goals.

Sessions

During our sessions, I will tailor workouts specifically to your fitness needs, and help you reach them within 6-8 weeks. I like to make workouts as efficient and enjoyable; I won’t waste your time, so expect to sweat!(That’s right, ladies!)  I am knowledgeable about basic weight training, cardiorespiratory training, interval and circuit workouts, and TRX. 

By the end of our training, I want you to have the tools to continue pursuing your goals. I will work hard to help you reach your them, but ultimately it’s up to you. Show up, and be ready to give me your 100%.

Hi my name is Aaron Matthews and I am a Health Promotion Major and a football player here at ESU.  I love working out and take physical fitness very seriously. I am a real nice and outgoing guy and I love pushing people to their limits.  Meeting new people and seeing people change their lifestyle is something I live for and love to see!

Sessions

Be ready to work hard! YOU WILL SWEAT! My workouts will be intense, unique, but  very adaptive. I will push my clients past their limits so they know they are capable to do anything if they put their mind to it. Me and my clients will work hard together to achieve the goals that were set. By doing so, their must be 100% commitment from the client. During the sessions, we will focus on whatever area the clients weaknesses are in. Workouts will range from TRX bands, weight training, resistance bands, plyometric, cardio, and many other techniques depending on where the client is at and what they want to achieve. If you sign up for me, be ready for a life changing event and to have a great time!

About Me

Hi! I am a senior Health Promotion Major and am very motivated in the areas of fitness and nutrition. I am always learning new things that I can apply during our sessions. I approach personal training from a teaching perspective, making sure my clients understand the workouts they’re doing so that they are eventually confident and knowledgeable enough to train on their own.

Experience

+I work with males and females of any age or skill level
+I really enjoy working with beginners as well those at higher levels
+I personally have trained as an endurance athlete (5ks, 10ks, half-marathon, swimming, running, cycling, mountain biking), and have been an assistant Track and XC coach at EHS for 4 seasons
+I am familiar with types of training such as basic weight training, interval training, TRX, plyometrics, circuit training, BOSU, yoga, pilates and more
+I am knowledgeable about nutrition as well as fitness, and am willing to provide any information that might help you meet your goals!

Sessions

I take health seriously and expect my clients to as well. I like helping people meet their goals, but more than anything, I like helping people find exercises that they enjoy doing. Working out--even hard workouts--should not be a chore, you should do workouts that you enjoy doing! I will help you set goals and reach them within 6-8 weeks by tailoring workouts specifically to your needs. I believe in getting the greatest return for the time invested, so workouts that I write will be efficient, and you will sweat! I also like to mix up workouts; you will not be bored and doing the same thing every single day.

What Clients Can Expect

Initially, we will assess current physical condition and develop short and long term goals. I will then develop a personalized exercise program for you based upon those goals. You can expect to meet 1-3 times per week, usually for 6-8 weeks or until you are ready to continue your routine on your own.

About Me

Hello, I’m Greg Farris, a senior here at ESU studying Health and Chemistry. This fall will be my first year as a personal trainer/fitness instructor for the rec center. I have a strong passion for nutrition and exercise and love showing others how it can improve their life.

 Experience

*I’m open to work with both men and women.

*I work with people of all fitness levels from beginners to advanced.

*Main interests are nutrition and resistance training, but also open to different exercise methods depending on the individual preferences and goals.

*Enjoy teaching people about nutrition and exercise and hearing how it’s improved their life.

*Enjoy working out with people and helping them push pass their previous limits. 

 Sessions

My training sessions will rarely be the same for each person. Each individual is unique in the sense of his or her goals and personal preference for exercises. I always take that into consideration to ensure you’re enjoying the workouts (which is priority number one.) Resistance training, circuits, bodyweight exercises, kettlebells, TRX bands and more could all be used depending on the individual. Not every workout will be like a Rocky movie, but it will be difficult enough to produce your desired goals.

About Me

Hello, I’m Sean Swanson. I am a Senior majoring in health promotion. I love music and use it as a tool for my workouts. I try to live with respect and honor. Your mind can do incredible things. I have a fire in my heart for fitness and I want to share it with you.

 Experience

I will work with anyone female or male, all I ask is that you give it your best shot.

I have had the privilege of training with Para-Rescue Air Force Special forces. An experience that opened my eyes to how far you can push your body.

I have boxing experience and have recently started Mixed Martial Arts training for my workouts. If you train like a warrior physically and mentally you will see the results you want faster than you think.

I like to swim when I get the opportunity. I enjoy unconventional workouts and always try to keep it fresh.

My goal for workouts is to improve every single time. That is what I ask of myself and that is what I will ask of you. No matter what your fitness level is I guarantee you have the capability to become better. Determination and hard work get results. There is no easy way to success.

Hi! My name is Marqueita Marisette and I am a junior here at Emporia State. I am a Health Promotion major and a student athlete on the ESU Track & Field team. I am a very enthusiastic individual who loves to push others to their best ability. If your ready to put forth the effort to reach your goal, then I am willing to work with you to accomplish it!

 Experience

Þ If you are wanting to be conditioned I am familiar with running & conditioning exercise's. I work with male and female clients.  I am knowledgeable about nutrition & fitness which I am learning more about.

Þ I’ve coached Junior high and High school track athletes for three years over the summer.

 Sessions

As a trainer Its my job to go at your pace during work outs. Each work out will be different for each individual. I will PUSH YOU if I feel you can run faster, lift heavier, stretch further or accomplish anything your body is working towards. I am willing to work with your goals and needs for each session. My biggest thing is to be honest with me for what you want out of our session. I want my clients to be comfortable to communicate with me when needed. Lets make this experience fun for both of us but for you to gain knowledge about fitness as well!
