Group Fitness Class

    GROUP CLASS SCHEDULE SPRING -2012

ZUMBA- Zumba is an aerobic exercise routine inspired by Latin American dance moves and interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that will tone and sculpt the body. No dance experience necessary. –Marqueita

Insanity -You perform long bursts of maximum-intensity exercises with short periods of rest. Each workout keeps you constantly challenged as you alternate between aerobic and anaerobic intervals performed at your MAX. –Marqueita

Crunchtime-Tired of the basic crunch?An Intense, non-stopping 30 min workout using basic & advance exercises to strengthen your core.This class will get you sweating with small cardio bursts and tough abdominal strength exercises. –Steve/Sergio/Ryan

Cardio Kickboxing- -this class will kick you into shape. For beginners to advanced students. It involves using punches and kicks to get a great total body workout. Kick boxing moves and other heart-pumping cardio exercises, incorporated with alternating periods of higher and lower levels of intensity.-Steely

Trx-Born in the U.S. Navy SEALS and developed by Fitness anywhere, suspension training is a revolutionary method of leveraged bodyweight exercise. Safely perform hundreds of exercises that build power, strength, flexibility, balance, mobility, and prevent injuries, all at the intensity you choose-Steve/Taylor/Aaron

“Chill”-Ates –This low-impact class resembles the well-known Pilates fitness style. It is a method of body conditioning based on using positioning and gravity to work the muscles. Activates deep core muscles while improving posture, flexibility, balance and overall strength. 45-60 min. Annie

Group Training- This 60 min class is focused more for the staff and faculty at ESU. We want to create comfortable environment for you to workout in and push yourself! This class will show vary in exercises and will be using a variety of equipment… -Fitness Staff

Power Pump- This 45 min class will get you in shape! From full body workouts to ab strengthening, each class will be different and focus on many areas of fitness from circuits, weightlifting, toning and abs workouts! You’ll be sure to burn close to 500 calories!!!

Cardio bootcamp-If you’re looking for new ways to get a work out in come try this new class you’ll be sure to sweat those pounds off with an intense cardio class using body weight exercises plyometrics and high intensity intervals.Ryan/ Sergio

Total Body Circuits Come push yourself to your limits doing circuit training!  This is an intense group fitness class that includes a wide variety of fitness equipment including kettle bells, TRX, bosu balls, stability balls, battling ropes, resistance bands, and Free weights.Steve

GRAPPLING 101 – This class is for all levels of people with prior experience to beginners in MMA. It teaches a combination of mix martial arts and wrestling that focuses on takedowns, transitions and submissions. – James

Water Aerobics – This new aerobics class is making a splash down at the HPER pool! Designed to be an effective, full-body workout, this class will tone up your muscles without the strain and stress of high-impact exercises! Don’t forget a towel! 45-50 min.  Annie/Chelsea
