Welcome to Project Challenge!  We offer an array of free services designed to assist eligible full-time students.  Project Challenge is one of a group of federally funded programs known as TRIO programs and has existed at ESU since 1984.  Project Challenge is designed to increase students' chances for success while in college.  Currently, Project Challenge serves 165 students at ESU.

Who is eligible for Project Challenge?

  • Students who are first generation college students
  • Students falling under federal income guidelines
  • Students who have a physical or learning disability

What services are offered?

  • Tutoring
  • Mentoring
  • Special courses
  • Counseling
  • Workshops

This program is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education.  Applications will be selected for program participation in compliance with the provisions of Section 427 of the U.S. Department of Education's General Education Provisions Act (GEPA).  Accordingly, access and participation will not be denied to applicants based on gender, race, national origin, color, disability, or age.
