The search for Emporia State University’s new president has been successfully completed. Dr. Michael Shonrock was named the 16th president of ESU at a Board of Regents meeting this morning.
The Board of Regents, consultants at Witt/Kieffer led by Katherine Haley Will and Lucy Apthorp Leske, and the search committee led by Deryl Wynn drew praise for their efforts.
Special thanks to Dr. H. Edward Flentje for his work as interim president.
Dr. Shonrock plans to begin his official duties on campus Jan. 3, 2012.
