Advising Information

Dr. MacDonald Advising

Prospective Undergraduate Students

Prospective undergraduate students are invited to visit the department's Advising and Career Information Center in Visser Hall 311. The University Admissions Office will be happy to make an appointment for you when you are on campus for a scheduled visit. When you are on campus for other reasons, you are always welcome to come see us. If you want to make an appointment before you arrive, call (620) 341-5812. The Advising Center will explain the psychology major and psychology minor degree options to you and answer your questions.

Current Undergraduate Students

New students are advised through a centralized advising office referred to as the Student Advising Center (SAC).

Those students who have at least 30 credit hours, are making satisfactory academic progress, and are sure of their major (psychology in this case) are transferred from the SAC to the department's Advising and Career Information Center (see contact information under "Prospective Students" above).

Graduate Students

Students formally admitted to a graduate program within the department are assigned an individual faculty member as advisor. The admission letter will inform you of who your advisor is. Please contact the faculty member assigned to you for advising and to complete your degree plan. To obtain information about our graduate programs, click here.
