B.S. 2000 in Psychology and Sociology from Baker University
M.Ed. 2002 in Community Counseling from The University of Georgia
Ph.D. 2007 in Counseling Psychology from The University of Georgia
Research and Clinical Interests:
Research interests include working clinically with refugee and immigrant populations and with persons with transnational identities, best practices in managing mental health crises in the study abroad student population, the enhancement of learning in an international setting, and bullying in a professional setting.
Recently completed a manual for The Office of Study Abroad at The University of Kansas on the process of re-entry for returning study abroad students and presented on managing mental health crises abroad for the KU faculty leading programs abroad.
Robyn completed her clinical internship at KU’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) in 2007 and completed a post-doc in 2008 year, serving half-time as a clinician at CAPS and half-time as a program coordinator at The Office of Study Abroad at The University of Kansas. Since May of this year, she has been in private practice at Flint Hills Counseling and Consultation Services in Emporia, Kansas.
