A Few Words of Advice
Requests for documentation submitted to the Office of International
Education require at least two business days to process.
Bring your passport and all relevant Immigration documents with you
when you come to the OIE seeking immigration information.
Carry financial and Immigration documentation when you travel (especially
I-20's, passports, and I-94's).
Never go to Immigration without first consulting the OIE.
Do not rely on friends as the best source of advice on immigration
matters.
If you are the least bit uncertain about your status-for example,
whether your program is full-time, whether your permission to stay is
valid, or whether you can be paid for an assistantship-check with the
Office of International Education immediately.
