Emporia State University holds institutional accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and major degree programs are accredited by Specialized Accreditation entities. The institution is committed to providing the highest quality degree programs with engaging high impact practices aimed at providing excellent student learning experiences, meanwhile fulfilling its mission of preparing students for lifelong learning, rewarding careers, and adaptive leadership. The faculty in collaboration with shared governance assure the integrity of the academic programs and curriculum across all academic departments, colleges, and schools. The HLC Criteria for Accreditation serve as the framework embraced by the institution in actualizing its mission through strategic planning guided operations.
