The Teachers College Honors Students at End of Year Banquet

Over 110 people were recognized at The Teachers College 38th Annual Honors Ceremony held the evening of May 6. This was the first time this event was held in person since 2019.

A total of 107 students and five retiring members of the college received special recognition. Twenty-one students received outstanding student awards and 90 students were honored for achievement of a 3.8 grade point average or higher.

Undergraduate and graduate students were honored for excellence in their respective departments. Ten students received outstanding undergraduate student awards and 11 students received outstanding graduate student awards.

Research Awards

The 2022 Undergraduate Research Award went to Brittany Schmidt, Hutchinson, for her research project titled “Effects of Psychiatric Testimony and Death Qualification in Mock Juror Decision Making.” Brittany is majoring in chemistry and psychology education and the faculty sponsor for her research project was Dr. Keith Wylie.
