And the beat goes on

Those precise cadences you hear from ESU's Marching Hornets drum line don't just happen overnight. They're the result of long hours of practice, some of which starts even before the fall semester.

David Constantine spent a couple of weeks with the percussion section late this summer, helping them memorize the repertoire they'll draw from during marching band performances this season.

Constantine is finishing up a doctorate in percussion at Indiana University. He's a familiar face on the ESU campus, having led similar clinics for the past seven years.
