Dr. Karen Manners Smith named Roe R. Cross Distinguished Professor

Dr. Karen Manners Smith, professor of social sciences and director of ESU's Ethnic and Gender Studies Program, had some unexpected visitors in her classroom Monday, April 13. But it was a welcome interruption for her American Women's History class.

Dr. Michael R. Lane and other ESU officials were there to announce Manners Smith as the 2009 Roe R. Cross Distinguished Professor.
