Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority shines at national convention
For the past 14 consecutive years, the Epsilon Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha has received the Four Star Chapter Award at their national convention in Cambridge, Mass. Epsilon Epsilon is the only Alpha Sigma Alpha chapter to win such a prestigious award.
The award is granted to the sorority that demonstrates excellence throughout the entire sorority. They are given many requirements and must excel as a chapter. There are only six other sororities that receive this award.
“Winning this award makes us work harder for the next year to keep receiving these awards and more! We are very excited and proud,” said Melissa Davis, Epsilon Epsilon Chapter President.
The Four Star Chapter Award was not the only award the chapter received. They received awards for Meeting/Exceeding Spring Recruitment Target; Scholastic Honorable Mention (3.0 GPA or higher for exceeding the All-Women’s GPA and for exceeding the Campus Panhellenic GPA.
Epsilon Epsilon was the only chapter to receive the Sidney Gremillion Allen Panhellenic Award. This award was awarded to those who are involved in Panhellenic on their campus.
“We strive for success and want to be an awesome chapter,” Davis said. “We have a reputation to uphold, and we want to make sure we keep getting it and winning other awards. The awards keep our spirits going and make us work harder.”
