A Cappella Choir to present Renaissance Madrigal Feast

Welcome in the holiday season in Elizabethan style, with beautiful music, a superb five-course meal, rib-tickling skits, and an evening full of entertainment. Through the gift of imagination, travel back to 1575, the time of good Queen Elizabeth of England. Put aside the routine and cares of daily life. Royal Hall will be prepared for your coming. You'll drink of the Wassail Bowl, eat an elegant five-course dinner with chicken cordon bleu as the main course and hear authentic Elizabethan music by the ESU Madrigal Singers, trumpeters and pipers. You'll revel in the beauty of music and a hilarious skit.

This event is November 17 – 18 and will begin at 7:00 p.m. each night in the Memorial Union Colonial Ballroom. Reservations are required and the reservation deadline is November 13. Tickets for the Renaissance Madrigal Feast are $28 per person. A 10 percent discount will be given for groups purchasing tickets in blocks of eight. For more information contact Dr. Terry Barham, director of choral activities, at 620-341-5436 or barhamte@emporia.edu. Profits support choral scholarships for deserving students.
