Financial Aid office welcomes new face
Jaime Harper is the new scholarship coordinator in the Office of Financial Aid.
The Office of Financial Aid recently welcomed a new face. Jaime Harper, scholarship coordinator, is the newest member to join the Emporia State University Financial Aid team.
Harper, a native of Emporia, earned a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems in 2003 from ESU. Before coming to ESU, she was a Financial Aid officer at Flint Hills Technical College.
“I chose ESU because I enjoyed my time here as a student, and looked forward to working with the team in the Financial Aid office,” Harper said.
Some of her duties include evaluating applications and determing award recipients for scholarships, preparing reports for the ESU Foundation, determining and recording allocations for funds, responding to students, parents, counselors, donors and departments questions regarding scholarships and updating database tables.
“Jamie is a welcome addition to the Financial Aid Office. Her previous financial aid experience has certainly been beneficial as we work with her on our processes,” said Elaine Henrie, Director of Financial Aid.
Harper is the mother one daughter and in her spare time enjoys reading and watching movies.
“Knowing that I am helping student pay for their education is what makes my job worthwhile,” Harper said.
