Eighth annual gospel extravaganza to be held April 1
Emporia State University’s Harmonious Voices of Praise (HVP) is presenting its eighth annual Gospel Extravaganza on Saturday, April 1 at 6:00 p.m. in the Memorial Union Webb Lecture Hall.
Musical groups scheduled to perform include the Harmonious Voices of Praise (ESU),
Church of the New Covenant Choir and the St. James Missionary Baptist Church Youth Choir. The Black Student Organization at Emporia High School will also perform a dance.
This will be a powerful ministry of the Gospel through song,” said Ari Sargeant, HVP president.
This year’s theme is "The Unlimited I Am” which corresponds with Philippians 4:13. The gospel extravaganza is free and open to the public.
“If you want to be uplifted and encouraged, without being preached to, come out to the Gospel Extravaganza,” said Erica Manning, HVP vice president. “Audience members will be ministered to through praise songs and songs that express thanks. It is good, clean fun with positive vibrations.”
