Hornet Days Set for August 12 – 23

Emporia State University will soon be with new and returning students for the fall 2006 semester. Among the many activities will be Hornet Days, a fun-filled week of activities to help new students prepare for their first semester at ESU.

During Hornet Days, new students will have the opportunity to meet new people, enjoy live entertainment, and explore the campus community. Hornet Days participants will have the opportunity to win a variety of door prizes, gift certificates and t-shirts.

Hornet Days activities include:

Friday, August 11

Move-in day is Friday, August 11, 2006 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. President John Schwenn will be helping students move-in between the hours of 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. This is the 8th year for the Annual Hornet Helper Move in Program. Last year more than 850 students were assisted in moving into the residence halls.  Our "Hornet Helpers" include faculty, staff and student organizations.
