New members elected to ESU Alumni Association Board

Three new members have been elected to the Emporia State University Alumni Association board of directors. They will begin serving their three-year terms in June.

Additionally two current members have been elected to a second three-year term and the president-elect has been selected.

New Alumni Association board members include:

Edward Cates (BA 1995), Atlanta , Ga. Cates is the business development manager responsible for national sales and marketing for Carter Brothers, LLC, an electronic security and fire-safety company based in Atlanta , Ga. He is a member of the Atlanta Alumni chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.; a member and former treasurer of the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council and founding board member of the Georgia Women's Business Council.

Russ Everhart (BSB 1990, BSB 1990, MS 1996), Overland Park , Kan. Everhart is a National Sales Manager for Sprint. He received the Sprint President's Club honor in 2004 for outstanding sales leadership in his division. After graduating from ESU, Everhart served as the assistant director of Career Services at Johnson County Community College , where he was awarded the 1997 National Association of Colleges and Employers Chevron Award for developing a ground-breaking program in career services. Everhart currently serves on both the Career Center and the Business Marketing Advisory Boards at JCCC.

Brad Jones (BGS 1992), Wichita , Kan. Jones is an Outreach Athletic Trainer for Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado , Kan. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and has served as the treasurer of the Kansas Athletic Trainers Society. He is an active member of the ESU South Central Kansas Alumni Chapter.

Re-elected members and president-elect:

Kelly (Emig) Mobray (BFA 1996, MS 1998), Salina , Kan. Mobray is the director of adult education for USD 305, Salina Public Schools. She is the vice president of the Kansas Adult Education Association, a member of the Salina Altrusa International organization and recently became the Smoky Valley ESU Alumni Chapter President. Mobray will also serve as Alumni Association President-Elect beginning in June.

Kimberly (Conner) Reimer (BSE 1985), Dodge City , Kan. Reimer is a faculty member and director of teacher education at Dodge City Community College . She holds a master's degree in education from Newman University , and has fifteen years of experience teaching at the elementary and middle school levels. Reimer has been listed in Who's Who Among America 's Teachers in 2000, 2002 and 2004. She is the NCA visiting chair person for three elementary schools in Southwest Kansas and serves on the board of directors for the Champions for Kids Foundation.
ESU Alumni Association Board members are advocates for ESU and use their talents to plan special events and programs for alumni, recruit new students, promote fundraising for scholarships, interact with Kansas legislators and serve as voices for the more than 51,000 E-Staters they represent.
