Community Chorus seeks new members
Dr. Terry Barham, ESU's Community Chorus conductor is encouraging everyone interested to come and join the Community Chorus, he is looking for about 70-75 people who enjoy singing.
Some pieces that Barham has planned for the choir to sing are works by Mendelssohn and Diemer, three Spanish Ballades, and folk songs of Ireland , Scotland , and Canada , along with some Stephen Foster favorites.
Music will cost approximately $15 and may be purchased at Flint Hills Music or at the first two rehearsals.
Rehearsals will be Mondays from 7-9 p.m. in Beach Music Hall room 132 on the ESU campus. There are no auditions to join the choir. The first rehearsal is January 24.
The semester will end with two concerts, one for the Habitat for Humanity Benefit Concert on April 22 and for the Cottonwood Falls Evening of Music on April 25.
