Workshop offers basic workers compensation information
The Emporia State University Small Business Development Center will offer a workshop on Sept. 23. The workshop's major topics will include employer and employee reporting requirements, compliance and coverage issues, benefits under the workers compensation act, issues of compensability, and a general overview of the workers compensation process.
Carol S. Cast, Coordinator of Employer Services Division of Workers Compensation at the Kansas Department of Human Resources will be presenting the workshop.
The workshop will be held at the National Teachers Hall of Fame building in the Glennen Board Room 112 at 1320 C of E Drive in Emporia , KS from 6:30-9:00 p.m. The registration fee is $10, and must be paid in advance.
Participants will understand the basic rights and responsibilities afforded the parties under the Kansas Compensation Act.
