Tallgrass Writing Workshop seeks registration
The 19th Annual Tallgrass Writing Workshop is accepting registrations from both experienced and beginning writers who would like help preparing their work for print.
The June 26-27 workshop, sanctioned by the Western Writers of America, brings published authors to ESU to help participants learn more about literary style and technique and opportunities for publication.
Participants can be people who want to write for personal satisfaction, as part of a service or professional responsibility or for publications. The only prerequisites are a reasonable writing ability and serious interest, according to a workshop press release.
Workshop faculty include:
Don Coldsmith, author of more than 40 books, 150 magazine articles and 1,700 newspaper columns.
Jim Hoy, ESU English professor, director of the Center for Great Plains Study, and accomplished folklorist and non-fiction author.
Suzann Ledbetter, an extensively-published humorist and novelist and contributing editor to Family Circle magazine.
Max McCoy, an award-winning novelist, screenwriter and investigative reporter, and winner of the Western Writer’s of America’s Best Original Paperback in 2000.
Cotton Smith, a western historical novelist and award-winning marketer.
The workshop fee is $60. Participants may also earn university tuition for an additional fee. Registration forms must be received by June 10.
