ROUNDTABLE
The
following is a summary of faculty and staff accomplishment reported
to ESU Public Affairs and Marketing in January 2004:
PUBLICATIONS
Dr. James Starr, associate professor in the Department of Music, and Elaine Edwards, professor emeritus of the Department of Music, have recently had their book, An Introduction, Analysis, and Performance Evaluation of Selected Piano Trio Literature of the Twentieth Century, published by Edwin Mellen Press of Lewiston, New York, in December, 2003. This is Volume 5 of the Mellen Studies in Applied Music.
Dr. Derek A. Zelmer, assistant professor in the Department of Biological Sciences, had “Limb deformities as an emerging parasitic disease in amphibians: evidence from museum specimens and resurvey data” published in Conservation Biology. Zelmer along with Jared McJunkin, a graduate student, and Roger Applegate, employee at Wildlife and Parks, had “Enteric helminthes of juvenile and adult wild turkeys (Meleagris gallopavo) in eastern Kansas” published in Avian Diseases.
Prasad S. Kantamneni, associate professor in the Department
of Business Administration and Education, and Audhesh K. Paswan,
an associate professor
of Marketing in the College of Business at University of North Texas,
published “Quality of Life (QOL) and Foreign Investment (FI):
Public Opinion Investigation in India” in the Global Business
Review, Vol 4, No. 2, July-December 2003, pp. 325 - 339.
Dr. Rebekah A. Sheely, assistant professor in the Department of Accounting
and CIS, published “WorldCom: A Simple Recipe for Cooking the
Books” in the New Accountant. Issue #704, 2003, pp. 17 - 19.
faye i. smith, associate professor in the Department of Business
Administration and Education, published “Review of Leadership
That Matters: The Critical Factors for Making a Difference in People’s
Lives and Organizations’ Success” in the Academy of Management
Review, Vol. 17, No. 4, Nov. 2003, pp.159 - 161.
Zane Swanson, associate professor in the Department Accounting and
CIS, and Richard L. Alltizer of Wichita State University published “How
Multiple-Choice Question Characteristics Influence Student Success
in the Introductory Accounting Courses” in the Journal of Accounting
and Finance Research, Vol 11, No. 3, Summer II, 2003, pp. 43 - 49.

The Roundtable publishes announcements about current and retired ESU faculty and staff. Graduate students are included only when accompanying an ESU faculty or staff member. Undergraduate students are not included.
Please identify all individuals named in your submission according to title (professor, associate professor, assistant professor, instructor, e.g.) and department (Department of Biological Sciences, Counselor Education and Rehabilitation Programs, e.g.). Include the designation "Dr." where appropriate.
If your submission lists someone from another university, please indicate the name and location (city, state) of the university.
The Roundtable publishes announcements in the following categories: appointments, awards, conferences, grants, presentations, and publications. Other categories may be included as needed. Announcements are published after the fact, so please hold future information and submit after occurrence.
