“Pottery with Pizzazz” to open at Memorial Union

A new pottery shop will offer students and community members a place to work on hand painted ceramics in ESU’s Memorial Union Mainstreet. “Pottery with Pizzazz” will be open November 12 through December 12.

The project is being run by Blythe Eddy, assistant director for programs and community service and graduate assistant Mary Decker. “This is an exciting opportunity for alternative programming for the campus community,” said Eddy.

Eddy and Decker invite people to pick out ceramic forms to paint, stencil, sponge, or decorate in any way they like. The staff will glaze and fire the pieces and within a week and a half they will be ready to take home. The price range for each item is anywhere between $5 to $20 dollars.

Store hours will be Wednesday and Thursday noon to 8 p.m. and Tuesday and Friday noon to 5 p.m.

Private parties are welcome upon request. For more information, contact the Center for Student Involvement at 341-5481.
