Ambassadors
honored, named
leaders at ASAP conference
The Emporia State University Ambassadors received two honors and were appointed to two leadership positions during the Association of Student Advancement Programs District VI Conference in Columbia, Mo., March 6 through 8.
Sarah Michelle Phillips,
a sophomore communication major from Edgerton, was named ASAP District VI Representative for 2003-2004. Phillips will represent the district at meetings of both ASAP International and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education International.David Decker,
associate director of annual giving and ESU alumnus, has been named the ASAP District VI advisor. Decker will serve as chief advisor for the district and represent district advisors and sponsors at ASAP International and CASE International. In addition, Decker was named the 2003 ASAP District VI Outstanding Advisor for his impact on the ESU Ambassador organization. Decker has worked with the ESU Ambassadors since 1997.
The Ambassadors web site was named the "2003 Most Outstanding Web Site." The site was developed by
Megan Chrisman,
a junior computer information systems major from Halstead.As official student hosts, Ambassadors promote ESU through a variety of activities, including admissions, alumni, and Foundation events.
