ESU announces 2003-2004 Capital Federal Savings Scholars
Eleven Emporia State University business students have
been honored through one of ESU's most distinguished scholars programs.
The second class of Capital Federal Savings Scholars includes freshmen
business administration majors Janelle Shoup, Burlington; and Derek
Young, Hesston; sophomore accounting major Harmonie Zdanek, Overland
Park; junior accounting major Rachel R. Hoopes, Emporia; junior business
administration major Brett Henry, Topeka; and M.B.A. students Ashley
Ross, Lawrence; and Angela Teter, Princeton.
In addition, four students honored in the inaugural class of scholars last year will return as Capital Federal Savings Scholars this fall: sophomore business management major Corey Giger, Emporia; Kan.), senior computer information systems major Brad Johnson, Minneapolis; business administration and economics double major Natalie Moreau, Baldwin City; and M.B.A. student Melissa Reynolds, Scranton.
The Capitol Federal Savings Scholars program recognizes students in the ESU School of Business who have graduated from a Kansas high school and have a minimum 3.25 grade point average. Students selected as CFSS are also expected to develop and exhibit leadership skills while at ESU.
This scholarship is renewable and is awarded in addition to other university scholarships, such as Presidential Academic Awards and Guaranteed GPA Scholarships. The annual awards range from $1,000 for freshmen to $2,000 for graduate students.
