Registration ends Friday for annual Nitty Gritty Dirt Dash

Registration closes Friday for the third annual Nitty Gritty Dirt Dash, a 5K obstacle course that raises money for the Children’s Champion Network.

The run will be on the Emporia State campus beginning at 11 a.m. April 18. The course will run through Campus Woods, starting and ending at Trusler Sports Complex. The course will contain 15 obstacles that will push your body and test your abilities to climb, crawl and jump! 

Online registrations will be taken through noon Friday, with all who register by the deadline receiving a T-shirt. Onsite registrations the day of the event will begin at 10:30 a.m. April 18.

Competing in the dash costs just $25 for adults, $15 for ESU students and youths under 18. All funds raised go to the Children’s Champion Network, which supports Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Emporia Child Care and Camp Alexander.
