ESU Theatre Launches Online Ticketing

April 13, 2017

Emporia State University’s Theatre Department is proud to announce the launch of online ticketing for all individual ticket sales with the production of “Sense and Sensibility” running April 25 through 29. ESU Theatre’s ticketing processes will continue to be managed through the Emporia State University Memorial Union Ticket Office; however, the recent upgrade to a new ticketing software, UniversityTickets©, now allows for ticket purchases to be made online via computers, tablets and mobile devices as well as through the traditional methods of in-person and by phone.

The website link to purchase tickets will be available on both the ESU Memorial Union and ESU Theatre website homepages (www.emporia.edu/union; www.emporia.edu/theatre) and payment is required at the time of purchase via credit or debit card. Tickets that are purchased online can be accessed via the print-at-home method, held at Will Call the night of the production or picked up in advance at the ESU Memorial Ticket Office between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday; individual tickets will no longer be mailed via postal mail, and each ticket will have an individual bar code on it for scanning purposes when entering the theatre. For the 2017-2018 season and until further notice, Emporia Theatre Guild memberships will not be available for purchase online; to order a season membership, interested parties may call the ESU Theatre Department at 620-341-5257 beginning April 17.

The ticket prices for “Sense and Sensibility” will remain at the current rates of $10 for adults, $9 for seniors, and $5 for students ages 4 through college (college students must present school ID). Beginning with ticket sales for the 2017 Summer Theatre season on May 15, ticket prices will be increased to $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $5 for students ages 4 through college (college students must present school ID). These new prices include service fees and are the same rate whether purchasing online, in-person at the Memorial Union Ticket Office or by phone at 620-341-6378.
