Dean Gwen Alexander and Interim Associate Dean Andrew Smith recently traveled to Serbia with eight SLIM students to take part in the annual conference sponsored by the Faculty of Philology at the University of Belgrade and to study libraries and librarianship in Serbia.
During the conference, they were presented with a proclamation from the University and a picture of Belgrade, recognizing 10 years of collaboration between the University of Belgrade and Emporia State University. This trip was part of SLIM’s continuing commitment to global outreach and is one of many such opportunities offered to SLIM students to expand their understanding of information needs and services across the world.
