Regents plan to name ESU president on FridayDecember 7, 2011
The Kansas Board of Regents will hold a special meeting to name the 16th President of Emporia State University on Friday, December 9, 2011, beginning at 9:30 am in Albert Taylor Hall on the ESU campus. The doors will open at 9 a.m.
“The selection of a university president is one of the most important responsibilities of the Kansas Board of Regents," said Ed McKechnie of Arcadia, Regent chair. "I am pleased to announce the Regents will name the 16th President of Emporia State University on December 9th. We look forward to introducing the President to the members of the ESU and Emporia communities and to the bright future they will build together.”
Add Dr. H. Edward Flentje, ESU interim president: “I commend the Kansas Board of Regents and the Search Committee for its conduct of a high-quality and expeditious search process. I am delighted that the Board will come to the Emporia State University campus to make this announcement. The campus community looks forward with excitement to the Friday announcement.”
After the announcement, the new president will attend the holiday reception in the Plumb Hall Rotunda.
