Taking The Teachers College Abroad

November 5, 2013

A professor who recently travelled extensively representing The Teachers College at Emporia State University will be reviewing what he experienced on his journey.

Dusti Howell, professor in ESU’s instructional design and technology department, will talk about “Taking The Teachers College Abroad” from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, in Visser Hall, Room 330 on the ESU campus.

His trip included stops in Jordan, Cypress, Indonesia and Israel. During his travels, Howell presented at two international conferences, meet with administrators of one of Emporia State’s sister universities, and was able to connect with three ESU international student alumni. Opportunities for partnerships with overseas institutions will be discussed.

The lecture is free and open to the public. The presentation is part of The Teachers College Speaker Series and is sponsored by the Flint Hills Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa.

A live webcast of the lecture will be available via Adobe Connect at https://connect.emporia.edu/tc/.
