Football sendoff
November 1, 2012The community is invited to cheer the Emporia State Hornet football team as they depart for Maryville, Mo., on Friday. The team will leave from the east side of the HPER building about 3 p.m. Friday.
At 8-1, the Hornets are still in the hunt for postseason play. The team is ranked No. 6 in the NCAA Super Region 3 poll.
Kickoff for Saturday’s game in Maryville is 2:37 p.m. It will be televised on the MIAA television network, which, although not available in Emporia, is available on Cox Cable systems in Kansas.
