Take part in Hornet Walk, the newest gameday tradition at Emporia State, by being on campus by 10 a.m. when the Hornet football team heads from the Memorial Union to the locker rooms in Welch Stadium to get ready for their game against the University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos.
The Hornets will leave Memorial Union from the north exit onto the patio beside Wooster Lake. The team will walk around the east shore of the lake and in front of Singular/Trusler residence halls before entering the east side of Welch Stadium.
Kickoff for the game is at 1 p.m. Tickets cost $12 for reserved chairbacks, $8 for adult general admission and $6 for children under 18 and senior citizen general admission.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Memorial Union and Emporia Country Mart and Price Chopper grocery stores. Ticket sales at the stadium begin at 11:30 a.m. Saturday; gates open at noon.
Saturday is Family Day at the game with special events planned for the Black Hole tailgating on the pedestrian mall and a com-cam community fair set up outside the southwest corner of the stadium, beginning at 11 a.m.
