Emporia State professor presents seminar

Dr. William E. Jensen, assistant professor of biology at Emporia State University, presented an invited seminar recently at Iowa State University.

Jensen spoke March 25 on “Wildlife and afforestation of the Great Plains” to the Department of Natural Resource Ecology and Management.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in fisheries and wildlife from the University of Missouri, a master’s degree in biological sciences from ESU and a doctorate in biology from Kansas State University.

Jensen came to ESU in August 2006. As an assistant professor he teaches courses in wildlife management, conservation biology and field ecology and advises undergraduate and graduate students. He also is the chair of the ESU Natural Areas Committee and director of the Schmidt Museum of Natural History at ESU.
