ESU delegation spends Day Under the Dome

A delegation of ESU students, faculty, staff and alumni spent the Tuesday, Feb. 21 meeting with legislators at the Kansas Statehouse and discussing issues of importance to Emporia State and higher education in Kansas.

Emporia State President Michael D. Shonrock and Corky meet with Kansas Rep. Ann Mah during ESU Day Under the Dome on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, in Topeka. Mah (D-Topeka), an ESU alum, represents parts of Shawnee and Douglas counties. Corky came for moral support. Kansas Sen. Jeff Longbine meets with Corky during ESU Day Under the Dome on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, in Topeka. Longbine (R-Emporia), an ESU alum, represents the 17th District, which includes all of Chase and Lyon counties, including Emporia, plus parts of Coffey, Greenwood, Marion, Morris and Osage counties. During the day, a delegation of ESU students, faculty, staff and alumni who spent the day meeting with legislators and discussing issues of importance to Emporia State and higher education in Kansas. Corky came for moral support.
