Music day, fire prevention workshop rescheduled

Two events cancelled earlier this month have been rescheduled at Emporia State University.

The Emporia State University Music Day will be Friday, Feb. 21. At 9 a.m., Emporia State University students and faculty will perform in Albert Taylor Hall in Plumb Hall. At 2:15, the grand finale program featuring middle- and high-school students will also be in Albert Taylor Hall. At 6 p.m. that night, guest artist John Bailey will perform a flute recital in Heath Recital Hall in Beach Music Hall.

The Fan-Lin Fire Prevention Workshop will be from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Feb. 26, in Webb Hall of the Memorial Union. During the workshop, members of the Emporia Fire Department will provide information on fire safety and planning escape routes from apartments, homes or residence halls as well as demonstrate how to use safety equipment. The workshop will include a question-and-answer session to address specific questions and concerns.
