The ESU Music Department features a dynamic opera program. In the fall, diverse opera scenes are performed. Some recent performances include Oedipus Tex, Eve's Odds, Chicken Little and more. In the spring, a full-scale opera is performed. Some recent performances include The Merry Widow, Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, and Patience.

The spring opera and fall opera scenes are cast by audition at the beginning of each semester. Rehearsals are from 4 to 6 pm in BH 132.
