Welcome to the ESU Low Brass Studio Page!

The Low Brass Studio at Emporia State University, under the supervision of Professor Nathan Gay, is comprised of students (both Undergraduate and Graduate) taking lessons on the Trombone, Euphonium/Baritone, and/or Tuba. The studio is made up of Music Performance and Music Education majors, Music minors, and some students pursuing non-music fields of study.
Besides taking weekly private lessons with Professor Gay, studio members participate in the Low Brass Ensemble, perform several times per semester in Studio Class, and attend relevant conferences and clinics. ESU Low Brass Studio students also perform publicly (both as soloists and in chamber groups), and are members of various large and small music ensembles within the ESU Department of Music.
