Tuesday May 20th, 2008
Late morning departure from Kansas City airport, bound for LaGuardia airport. Upon arrival, meet your MCI Tour Manager. Evening meal at pizza restaurant across from Cathedral of St. John the Divine. Check in at motel in South Newark, NJ, across the river from Manhattan.
Wednesday May 21st
Breakfast at the hotel. Choral workshop with Judith Clurman, formerly of Julliard School of Music. Lunch (on own). Take a walking tour of Battery Park, Trinity Church, Wall Street, Federal Building (where George Washington was sworn in as the First President) and the site of the World Trade Center. Dinner at South Street Seaport with time for shopping and sightseeing.
Thursday May 22nd
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning sightseeing includes boat ride from South Street Seaport – see Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Lunch (on own). Afternoon sightseeing: St. Patrick's Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and shopping at NBC Store. Attend Lion King on Broadway.
Friday May 23rd
Breakfast at the hotel. Give a concert at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine at 11:00 a.m. and at St. Paul the Apostle Church at 1:00 p.m. Sightseeing: United Nations Building, Grand Central Station, Madison Square Garden, and Times Square. Dinner at a local restaurant. Attend a performance by the New York Philharmonic Orchestra or Broadway shows of your choice.
Saturday May 24th
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by hotel check-out. Tour Greenwich Village, shop on 5th Avenue. Lunch (on own). Afternoon transfer to LaGuardia airport for flight back to Kansas City. Arrive home in the evening.
