Fall 2008

August 22: A Cappella Choir Boot Camp from 4-11 p.m. at Camp Alexander, 2 miles east of Emporia

October 16: Annual Choral Leadership Workshop/Mini-concert for high school quartets/octets. 9 a.m.– 4 p.m. in the Choral Rehearsal Room, Beach Music Hall

October 28: Choral Showcase Concert at the First United Methodist Church at 9th and Merchant at 7:30 p.m.

November 21-22: Renaissance Madrigal Dinner at 7 p.m. in the Colonial Ballroom at ESU's Memorial Union. Tickets must be purchased in advance

December 6: Christmas Concert shared with ESU Community Chorus and Orchestra, Vivaldi’s Gloria. Starts at 3:00 p.m. in Albert Taylor Hall, ESU.

Spring 2009

March 3: Annual High School Invitational Choral Festival with Concert. 1-5 p.m. we will be in the Choral Rehearsal Room. Concert at 7:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church at 9th and Merchant in Emporia.

March 12: Annual Madrigal and Small Ensemble Choral Festival. Heath Recital Hall (in Beach Music Hall), 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

March 21: ESU A Cappella Choir Reunion. This is for all members 1987-2009 and will be in the Choral Rehearsal Room in Beach Music Hall. Registration is from 9-10 a.m. Rehearsals and Fun, 10-5 p.m. Dinner for all A Cappella Choir members is at 5:30 p.m. Advance registration required. Contact Dr. Barham at tbarham@emporia.edu to register.

May 3: A Cappella Choir Spring Concert shared with Community Chorus. Starts at 3:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 9th and Merchant.

May 8: Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana with Emporia State A Cappella Choir, Washburn University Concert Choir and Washburn Symphony Orchestra. Concert is at 7:30 p.m. at White Recital Hall on Washburn campus in Topeka.
