Hornet Card - Nursing ID - Flinthills Technical ID

Lyon County State Bank and Emporia State University provides ESU students, faculty and staff with a multi-purpose card to be used in the following ways.

This card is your official University identification card.

Pay for books, merchandise, and much more. When you make purchases, the money is automatically deducted from your Declining Balance accounts. With the Hornet Card you don't have to worry about carrying cash.

Activate your card and chose your own PIN (Personal Identification Number) at the LCSB branch in the Memorial Union. You can then access your Lyon County State Bank accounts at ATM's worldwide. There is no charge to use your card in any Lyon County State Bank ATM.

Once your card is activated for use in an ATM, it can also be used as a debit card to purchase books and merchandise on-campus and off-campus. The purchase amount is debited directly from your Lyon County State Bank checking account. No need to carry cash or write checks.

Load dollars onto your card and use it in vending machines on campus instead of carrying cash. Emporia State Universtiy offers thes stored-value dollar feature. Deposit cash at specified machines maintained by ESU, and load those dollars onto your card. It is not a deposit of any bank and is not FDIC insured. Stored-value dollars cannot be recovered if your card is lost. Contact the University ID Office at (620) 341-5859 for details.

The following Meal Plan Options are available:

• All Access Meal Plan
• 15 Meal Plan
• 10 Meal Plan
• 7 Meal Plan (Not available to first semester freshmen)

All plans may be used Friday through Thursday. Residence Hall students must be on a meal plan.

Available to students, staff and faculty, declining balance funds may be put on your Hornet Card at the University ID Center in amounts of $25 or more. You receive a 10% discount at any dining service area when using these funds.

Use your Hornet card as a pass at ESU events or to obtain free or discounted tickets to ESU sporting and cultural events.

In addition to the Hornet Card we also make the ID cards for the School of Nursing. This is the official ID Card for both staff and student nurses at Newman Hospital.

The ID Center is also responsible for the production of IDs for Flint Hills Technical College. It is the official ID card for the students at Flint Hills Technical College.
