Lakeview Cafeteria
The Lakeview Cafeteria serves as the main dining facility for residence hall students
at Emporia State University. You will find a salad bar, fresh pizza, vegetarian and
traditional selections, the American Grill, soup station, waffle station, deli bar, and a
full selection of beverages. You will also find a chef exhibition station where you will
find food prepared right in front of you. Fresh desserts are also available.
All food and drink must stay in the cafeteria. To-go meals are available upon request
for special circumstances. For more information on to-go meals ask the Lakeview
supervisor or come to the Dining Services window.
Meal Plans
You can enroll in a meal plan anytime. However, if you are wanting to decrease your
meal plan, we can accept those changes no later than the first day of classes, August 19th, 2009. If you are a
freshman and living in the dorm, you cannot lower your meal plan any lower than 10
Block. All changes to meal plans can be made in the ID Office in Memorial Union.
The following meal plans are available:
All Access $3000.00 per year
- This plan allows you to come and go in the cafeteria as much as you want, all
semester long. - You get 20 Bonus Meals. This means you can treat a friend or family member by
letting them eat in the cafeteria with you, or you can use them in Hx Hornet
Express as a meal exchange. Only one exchange meal per period may be used.
15 Block $2928.00 per year
- This plan allows you to eat in the cafeteria 15 times a week. The week starts over
Friday at Breakfast and goes through Thursday Dinner. You may use one per
meal period (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner). Please refer to times of periods. - Unused meals do not get carried over to the next week.
10 Block $2518.00 per year
- This plan allows you to eat in the cafeteria 10 times a week. The week starts over
Friday at Breakfast and goes through Thursday Dinner. You may use one per
meal period (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner). Please refer to times of periods. - Unused meals do not get carried over to the next week.
7 Block $1767.00 per year
- This plan allows you to eat in the cafeteria 7 times a week. The week starts over
Friday at Breakfast and goes through Thursday Dinner. You may use one per
meal period (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner). Please refer to times of periods. - Unused meals do not get carried over to the next week.

Meal Exchanges
If you have an All Access meal plan, you have a set amount of bonus meals. These
can be used in Hx Hornet Express or the Skyline as an exchange for a cafeteria meal.
If you have a 7, 10, or 15 Block meal plan, you may use an exhange meal as one of
your meals for the week. There are set amounts when using bonus meals.

This means if you go into the Hx or Skyline planning to use your meal exchange, you
have a limit, depending on what meal period your are in, and anything over will have
to be paid with cash, debit, or credit card.
*Only one bonus meal per meal period may be used unless subsequent meals are
used in the Lakeview Cafeteria. For example, if you have All Access, you may use a
meal exchange in Hx, then (in the same meal period) go eat in the cafeteria. You may
not eat in the Lakeview, then (in the same meal period) go to the Hx.
