This program is for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Hispanic students. The goals of the program are to increase student interest in science and mathematics. The students have an opportunity to meet and form personal contacts with Hispanic professionals in a wide range of careers related to science and math. Hands-on workshops are designed to stimulate students in learning more about specific careers.
The career discussions and workshops are scheduled starting a 9:00 a.m. on Saturday mornings. Each student commits to attending four sessions during the school term. A banquet for the participants and their parents is provided at the last Saturday session.
